I just completed a 7 day fasting detox diet . I did not eat any food. I fasted on fresh fruit and veggie juices and herbal teas. Some people might consider this torture but I think the inconvenience of not eating is well worth the benefits after the fast is completed.
Fasting is one of the best things I ever started doing for my body! my fasting teacher once told me that she has seen people heal diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s, and fibromyalgia from fasting. Obviously I can’t guarantee any results. All I can do is tell you about my experience.
From the 7 day fast I just finished, I experienced lots of benefits. Here are some:
My pants fit looser. I don’t own a scale so I don’t know how that translates into pounds. I really don’t care. I’m just happy to lose inches without even really trying.
Here are some other benefits I experienced after fasting:

- more energy, waking up earlier
- happier mood
- easier to let go
- stronger immune system
- more flexible, yoga
- more focused
- more confident
- less stress
Fasting is one of the most powerful things I’ve ever done for my health. I improved in all areas of my life, which is well worth the temporary discomfort of desiring food and not eating. It’s well worth exercising my willpower to gain all that I gained from the 7 days.
I’m excited to do it again in a few weeks. I want to see how much deeper I can cleanse and detox. What else is hanging out in my colon and my subconscious?
