I love this pizza recipe! It is so delicious. Every time I make it, the whole family gets excited. Hubby makes sure I’m making enough for a couple of days and we always have to save a piece for my sister in love.
If you are in the mood for a super healthy raw food dish, give this recipe a try. You’ll need a food processor and a food dehydrator for best results.
Make the pizza crust first. You’ll need to dehydrate this for several hours before continuing to make the remainder of the pizza.
Pizza Crust Ingredients
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/4 cup of onion
- 2 celery stalk
- 1 small tomato
- 2 TB basil
- 2 TB cilantro
- 2 TB parsley
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 cup of ground flaxseeds (it’s better to buy whole and grind yourself.)
Soaked the grounded flaxseeds for an hour. Place the garlic and onion in the food processor. Add remaining ingredients, except for the ground flaxseeds. Process until smooth. Add ground flaxseeds and continue processing until everything is mixed together. The consistency will start to become doughy. Place 1 cup of flax dough onto a Teflex sheet. Cover with saran wrap. Use a rolling pin to flatten crust to about 1/4-1/2 inch thick. Using a round bowl, turn it upside down, and press onto the pizza crust to create a circular shape in the dough. Dehydrate for 2 hours on 105 degrees. Flip the crust over directly onto the mesh dehydrator tray and dehydrate for another 2-3 hours until firm.
About an hour before the pizza crust is ready (estimate time), start on the tomato sauce and cheeze.
Tomato Sauce Ingredients
- 3 Roma Tomatoes
- 1 cup of sundried tomatoes, soaked for at least an hour
- 4 dates, pitted and soaked for at least an hour
- 1/2 cup of olive oil
- 2 gloves of garlic
- 3 TB basil
- 1/2 tsp of sea salt (or to taste)
- pinch of cayenne pepper (or to taste)
Place all ingredients into the food processor. Combine until smooth. Once it’s complete, place in a bowl and set aside.
Now, move on to making the cheeze.
Vegan, Raw Cheddar Cheeze Ingredients
- 2 cups of cashews
- 1 cup of sunflower seeds
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of lemon juice
- 1 glove of garlic
- 1/4 tsp of sea salt (or to taste)
Put glove of garlic in the food processor first. Pulse 2-3 times. Add cashews. Pulse until cashew are processed, usually about 30 seconds. Slowly pour in water until cashews form a nice thick paste consistency. Add other ingredients until smooth and creamy.
Place in a bowl and set aside.
Cut up assortment of pizza toppings like nutmeat, mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, onions, avocado and red peppers. Place in a bowl.
Now, grab your pizza crust and get ready to put together your pizza.
Start with the crust, and spread the tomato sauce evenly. Next, place your toppings on the pizza and spread evenly. Last, pour the cheese on slowly. Season it with your favorite seasonings. I like to sprinkle some italian seasonings on top.
For the pizza in the pictures above and below, I put the cheese on first and spread the tomato sauce on top. Either way works.
Dehydrate the pizza for about 30 minutes to 1 hour to let all of the toppings soften.
This pizza takes a little work to prepare, but it is absolutely delicious. All of the taste are so vibrant.
