Pineapple-Parsley Smoothie Recipe
I love the green color of this smoothie! It looks delicious.
This may sound like a weird combination, but I know from experience that pineapple in a smoothie can pretty much make anything taste absolutely delicious. The sweet taste of the pineapple pretty much takes over so it’s great for green smoothies where you want to add a power green like parsley or dandelion because despite the beautiful green color, the smoothie will taste absolutely delicious.
If you’re a vegan or vegetarian, pregnancy, nursing, or just plain human living and breathing everyday, green smoothies are a great source of iron and calcium. You can stuff way more greens into a smoothie than you would typically eat in one sitting, which is why green smoothies are the ultimate superfoods.
It’s not that eating and chewing food isn’t important, but in this fast pace culture (which usually leads to unhealthy consumption of fast food), green smoothies are a powerful fast food that you can drink on the go, and still get more nutrients than you would in a typical meal.
