A journal entry from time spent in Costa Rica…
We came to La Fortuna to see the volcano, see some waterfalls and enjoy the hot springs. But the whole time we’ve been here, it’s been super rainy, cloudy, and cold.
Supposedly this is unusual for this time of year [March] when it’s suppose to be the dry season. But you don’t really want to hear that when you’re going to be in a country only a short while.
They say there’s a volcano behind all the fog but I dunno if I believe them. Hahaha. Take a look at this picture below. Do you see a volcano?
It was nice floating in the sky in the rain forest even if it was raining and cloudy. Skye and I took the tram back down, but Matt zip lined back down. It was exciting to see him glide through the air. He really enjoyed it. Part of his self care regimen must include adventure. He has an adventurist spirit so he must nurture that constantly in order to stay connected to his true self and creativity.
Skye and I waiting for Matt’s ziplining adventure to began before we rode the tram back down. The tram was even more awesome coming down than going up. It felt like we were on top of the world. Skye enjoyed the view and pointed to various trees while we were gliding through the air. She loves trees anyway so she had a ball.
It was a nice adventure especially if you’re traveling with children. We even saw the lake once the weather cleared a little bit. They said there are usually great views of the volcano too but the jury is still out of that. Lol. I have yet to see anything that remotely looks like a volcano yet.
