Eating healthy is key to self-care. Nutrient-dense foods help us maintain our weight, prevent us from getting sick, and keep us feeling good with plenty of energy to enjoy life.
I’m not a fan of diets, and I don’t think it’s realistic to eat healthy 100 percent of the time. I do believe, however, that if we focus on getting as many nutrients a day as possible from whole, healthy foods, then it has a huge impact on the type of health we experience on a daily basis.
Smoothies are a great and tasty way to include more nutritious foods in one meal.
I have experienced the power of smoothies first hand. I started drinking smoothies all of the time beginning the day my daughter was born. Within 5 days, my pregnancy belly was gone. And within 4 weeks, I weighed less than I did before I got pregnant without any exercise. I know that consuming plenty of smoothies helped me not have to work so hard to get rid of my pregnancy weight.
Pregnancy weight loss and any type of weight loss can be difficult. But focus on what you should add to your diet and you’ll automatically start cutting things out. When you shift your focus in this way, loosing weight is easy.
