Today, I used it on cut up, raw plantain. They taste so delicious with this sauce that I don’t even need to fry or cook them. Actually, they taste sweeter raw. It’s a nice dessert.
Here’s the ingredients:
- Raw, cut up plantain (or use another fruit)
- 3 TB coconut oil
- 3 TB maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg (optional)
Combine the coconut oil with the maple syrup. Coconut oil can be liquid or solid. It pours easier when it is liquid. Once the two ingredients are well combined, add spices. Pour mixture over plantain or whatever fruit you choose.
It taste so good. You may lick the plate. Go ahead, it’s ok. No one is watching.
What did you choose to pour this sweet syrupy sauce over?
