– 1 bunch bunch kale (washed and dried)
– 1/3 cup of coconut oil or olive oil
– 1/3 cup of vinegar (I use apple cider vinegar)
– 1 tsp. sea salt
* Feel free to adjust the amounts based on taste.
Strip the kale leaves off the stems and chop into bite size pieces. Throw greens in a large bowl. Massage 1 tsp of salt into the greens. Add the olive oil and vinegar and mix.
Next I place the kale chips onto dehydrator sheets and place in the dehydrator. Set the dehydrator at 115 and leave kale in for 4-6 hours, until crispy.
If you don’t have a dehydrator, you can also make the chips in the oven.
When using the oven, bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes until dark green and crispy.
When using the oven, the kale will not retain as much of its nutritional value, but its still a healthy alternative to commercially sold potato chips.`
