Yoga: How to be Grounded
If you feel stressed and overworked, you may need to practice being grounded.
Here are some symptoms that you need to get grounded:
- feeling overwhelmed
- being stressed out
- mood swings
- feeling like a victim
- life seems out of control
- lack of inspiration
- inability to focus
To get yourself grounded is reconnect with the true spirit of who you are. When you feel grounded, you feel empowered, calm, and in charge of your life. You’re centered and at peace with where you are in each moment.
Grounding techniques are easy to do and quick. The benefits can last for hours or even days. Here are some easy ways to ground yourself when you’re feeling disconnected:
- Meditation is a great grounding technique.
- Spending time in nature.
- Breathing Exercises.
- Walking outside barefoot.
Grounding is also great for creative people who need inspiration for their work. If you get grounded before doing an important activity, you’ll find that you’re able to tap into more resources than you even knew were available.
Within you is a storehouse of creativity, hope, and wisdom. You just have to consciously access it. Grounding is how you access it. So the next time you’re about to take a test, write, paint, attend a meeting or give a speech, try a grounding technique and watch how amazing you’re able to perform.
